Applications
Tanker manufacturers install guard bars that hinge down in front of the product connections. These guard bars help to protect the tanker piping and under carriage in the event of a side impact.
Construction
Aluminum body materials with stainless steel hardware, delrin bushings
Features
- Guard bar hinge set includes both left and right hinges
- Rugged double shear supported aluminum hinges, are welded to aluminum tubing to create a guard bar.
- Built-in locking button, hinge can't be opened unless the lock button is pressed
- Large 60° opening angle
- Left hinge includes a downward directed mount pad for the Dixon 5000AIHD (Air Interlock Valve Button Plunger Heavy Duty Pneumatic, sold separately). Downward directed mounting helps to prevent debris and water from getting into the air interlock.
- Wear resistant stainless steel roller on cam to trigger air interlock.
- Hinges come with grease nipples so they can be greased during routine tanker maintenance
- Corrosion resistant design utilizes stainless steel hardware and springs
- Option for locking hinge bar, so can't be unlocked without authorization.
